Macarthur South West Sydney A-League Bid
‘I want my own football club, ladies.’ This is how the conversation started. After we exchanged a couple of puzzled glances, and asked a heap of questions, we were ready to go.
The idea was to gain the support of National Premier League clubs and grassroots football to launch a bold bid for a Hyundai A-League license. The bid document needed to illustrate and prove to Football Federation Australia (FFA) the benefits an A-League club would have for the wider south western Sydney community. The bid also had to show that the proposed club could easily slot in as a new A-League team.
First of all we needed to design a layout system that would support a large number of infographs, graphs and data. Because there was so much information, legibility and effective communication was a key factor.
Well, they won the license! The Bid was successful. The end result was corporate and clean, with a clearly defined hierarchy. The information flowed beautifully and key points were easy to access on call. Next on the agenda: a logo for this new A-League team.
The pressure we were under to submit our application to FFA on-time was immense. The girls were calm and organised, managing different stakeholders and consultants. Thanks to Twosome Creative for their integral part in winning us the bid.
